In November 2015 Wakarecy Piano Duo won the Absolute First Prize of XXV International Roma Piano Competition. Other prizes of the Duo include Prize for the best performance of Chopin's Rondo for two pianos and IV Prize of the VI Piano Duo Competition in Bialystok, III Prize of Four Hands sections in the Roma Piano Competition and "The New Face of Music" prize founded by the Institute of Music and Dance in 2014.
Wakarecy Piano duo was formed in 2013. Since then they performed in many cities in Poland, Norway and Italy.
In 2014 they toured in Norway – made a debut in The Norwegian National Opera House and Norwegian Academy of Music, played an opening concert of „Polish Days” in Ringve Museum in Trondheim and were invited to play in the region of Sunnmøre in Møre and Romsdal. Wakarecy Piano Duo in 2014 also performed live in the Second Programme of the Polish Radio.

for 4 hands and 2 pianos from baroque until nowadays.
Aleksandra Sobon-Wakarecy graduated from Frederic Chopin University of Music and Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo. She is a laureate of the first prize on Norwegian Chamber Music Competition 2012, second prize on the XIII International Contemporary Chamber Music Competition in Cracow and distinctions for the best accompanying pianist during competitions for young musicians.
Pawel Wakarecy graduated with honours from Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz (studies with prof. Katarzyna Popowa-Zydron) and became an assistant lecturer on the faculty of his alma mater.
In the 16th International Frederic Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw he was awarded a distinction and a special prize "for the most highly assessed Polish participant".
